Natashia had a short stint in the local jail. She was very scared when we first met her. We gave her time to talk and told her we did not judge her-she gradually opened up and began to trust that we had her "best interests" at heart. When Natashia got out, she went to cosmetology school and more recently earned her operators license. In May of 2011, Natashia opened up her own styling salon in Indianapolis and she is calling it "Transformations". She stated, "It is the story about me; how I transformed my life". She stated "I learned a lot and Ms. Wellman, you were the calm in the storm, you helped me get through it and I am blessed".
