Diane came to My Sister's Place after being told by her parole officer that she had to move out of her mothers house. Her mother shared a duplex with a sister who was a heavy alcoholic and addict and at times that sister would be over visiting their mother, intoxicated. Diane was nervous, she had a job that she was working at for the past 2 years and was afraid she would lose her job if she moved further away from it. She was also concerned because her elderly mother required assistance both physcially and medically. Diane was welcomed into My Sister's Place and stayed with us for 3 months while she worked with her parole officer to get them to agree to let her get back to her mothers house. Diane was a great resident, always respectful of others, she cared about the other residents and helped them if she could. She even gave us 2 weeks notice when she was ready to move back out on her own!
