Work with members in your community and make a difference
Stitching lives together-- taking the women from a desperate situation to one of self actualization is a trying time-- yet we persevere to help the women to recreate themselves; to strive harder and model those good behaviors for their children-- to change those cycles of abuse, addiction, homelessness and incarceration. We have faith in them even when they don't have it for themselves. Woven bits of pieces- a lot like the lives we are helping. Women have many bits to their lives; they are colorful & they need a place where they feel secure and accepted. Many lives fragmented by an unjust world; lives just crying out for help. We help those who have exhausted all options and just need someone to listen to their story and encourage them to be the best they can be.
For more than 10 years, My Sister's Place, Inc. has devoted its energy to passionately advocating for the needy and under-represented members of our global family. Find out how you can contribute to the future of someone in need through donations of money and time.

BABY BEGINNINGS PROGRAM
A voucher program for previously and recently incarcerated women who had their babies while they were incarcerated. We also help women who are currently pregnant as well as single moms. This program provides clothing and other non-food items to help with a changing familys needs and allows us to work with the women for at least 5 years. The goal of this program is to help problem solve issues while keeping the women stable, out of prison and keeping the family unit intact.
We are working to get this program started in many churches and community centers so we can adequately serve many communities. We are all volunteers, we work out of the community and our cars. We have a couple of storage units where we keep donations to be turned out into the community for families that need them.
My Sister's Place
My Sister's Place was founded on the idea of helping women in need .We originally started with a half-way house but soon discovered that if we were able to provide the women with a job, they could afford to live anywhere they wanted. Most of them had children they wanted and needed to return to. So we changed our focus to helping single and formerly incarcerated women with jobs. We provide women with the encouragement to apply for jobs that will increase the job satisfaction while making a higher wage. Many of the women we currently work with are working and have transitioned back into the community safely and with legal employment.
